Gulf Air honours staff with 'High Flyer' award

Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, has rolled out a “High Flyer” award scheme whereby the airline recognises and honours employees who perform their duties at an outstanding level of service.
Gulf Air chief executive officer Krešimir Kučko and deputy chief executive officer Captain Waleed Abdulhameed AlAlawi, alongside members of the airline’s executive management team including Gulf Air director of human resources Nouf AlSowaidi, congratulated the honoured staff at a ceremony at the airline’s Muharraq headquarters.
The celebrated staff included members of Gulf Air’s maintenance, technical, marketing, sales, human resources and operations departments.
Kučko thanked staff saying: “Employees are the backbone of any organisation, and never more so than at the kingdom’s national carrier. Our airline’s growth and success is directly linked to our workforce’s individual and collective growth and success. I am delighted to recognise you all – representatives from across the organisation’s various departments, who have tirelessly worked and excelled in their fields. Thank you for your dedicated efforts.”
Gulf Air’s “High Flyer” award scheme, established this year, recognises the efforts of employees who consistently display a superior level of commitment, accountability, positive attitude and ability to embrace change. It takes into consideration a range of business accomplishments and achievements in terms of customer service and teamwork and recognises individual and team efforts across Gulf Air’s global operations.
Captain AlAlawi commented: “At Gulf Air, employee appreciation is given in the larger context of our national carrier’s goals, values and culture. The “High Flyer” award scheme entails a series of ceremonies in which Gulf Air staff are recognised for exhibiting exceptional performance and commitment to the airline. The recognised Gulf Air staff include those based in the airline’s Bahrain headquarters and across its global network, which currently serves 47 cities in 26 countries.
