Mövenpick Hotels names new president - Europe
DUBAI, June 28, 2018
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has promoted Sabine Dorn-Aglagul to president - Europe. Having joined Mövenpick in April 2017 as director of operations, Switzerland, Dorn-Aglagul takes the helm from Ola Ivarsson, who will retire from his role as chief operating officer for Europe on June 30.
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts currently manages 18 properties in Europe, with three new hotels set to open during 2019 in Stuttgart (Germany), The Hague (Netherlands) and Basel (Switzerland). The company is actively seeking further development opportunities in the region, with a focus on the hotel and serviced apartment sector.

Dorn-Aglagul has extensive experience working in hotel management for organisations such as Hilton Worldwide and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, employed in a variety of multi-property and single-property roles in markets including Turkey, Germany and Austria. Prior to joining Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Dorn-Aglagul lived and worked in Istanbul, as area manager Turkey for Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Dorn-Aglagu's ambitions in her new role are to make Mövenpick “the brand and place of choice” for guests and talent in Europe, she said.
As president Europe, Dorn-Aglagul will join Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ Executive Committee, taking over all reporting lines currently held by Ivarsson, who will continue his long association with the firm in an ongoing advisory role. - TradeArabia News Service
