Joon flies to Egypt

PARIS, March 27, 2018

Air France's subsidiary airline, Joon, has launched its first long-haul flight for the summer, with daily flights to the Egyptian capital of Cairo.

The new route is the first to be served by Joon's refurbished A340 aircraft. The airline has only the A320 family aircraft for its short-haul flights.

The A340 is configured with these classes – economy, premium economy and business class, with features as follows:

Economy: 78cm legroom, recline to 118 degrees, USB charging port, complimentary meal. Those looking for extra legroom can upgrade to a Seat Plus (86 cm of legroom), and there’s also a Seat Duo option, which offers two seats together on either side of the cabin next to the windows.

Premium economy: 99 cm of legroom, 49cm seat width and recline to 133 degrees – added benefits include an amenity kit and welcome drink, as well as starters and desserts “inspired by business class”

Business: 2m long lie-flat bed, 15.6-inch TV screen, upgraded meal service and cocktails designed by Paris-based Experimental Cocktail Club. Other benefits include privacy thanks to a fixed-shell seat, amenity kit and noise-reduction audio headset to enjoy 1,200 hours of in-flight entertainment.

Joon will also launch long-haul flights to Cape Town, Fortaleza, Mahé, Mumbai, Tehran this summer and Oslo, Rome, Naples, Istanbul will join the airline's medium-haul routes which include Berlin, Barcelona, Porto and Lisbon, launched in autumn 2017. - TradeArabia News Service
