SalamAir boosts service to Doha

MUSCAT, March 4, 2018

SalamAir, Oman's first budget airline, has increased the frequency on its Muscat-Doha route with the addition of an extra flight, taking the number of flights to seven per week, said a report.

“In response to our guests' demand, we are adding a seventh flight to our Muscat-Doha route starting March 3,” the airline stated.

Meanwhile, the carrier also launched its flights to Shiraz, Iran on February 28, and further plans to expand with additions in other destinations including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Bangladesh and more,  said a report in Muscat Daily.

Capt Mohammad Ahmed, CEO, SalamAir said that the inauguration of the Muscat-Shiraz-Muscat route is a new addition to the airline's response to customers' requests, as it is considered a medical and tourist destination, the report said.

SalamAir will fly two weekly flights to Shiraz on Sunday and Wednesday. With the addition of Shiraz as a new destination, SalamAir has expanded to include nine destinations, namely Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Karachi, Sialkot and Multan.

SalamAir is planning other destinations in Iran, namely Tehran and Mashhad, he added.
