Raffles Dubai gets new sales director
DUBAI, November 21, 2017
Raffles Dubai, a landmark luxury hotel celebrating its 10th anniversary this month in the UAE, has appointed Zeynep Ӧden Ağagil, a Turkish national, as its new director of sales and marketing.
Zeynep joins Raffles Dubai from Ciragan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul, where she held the role of director of sales and marketing for the previous two years. She brings with her more than 16 years of luxury hospitality experience and sales expertise to the role, said a statement from Raffles Dubai.
Prior to this, Zeynep was the director of sales at Raffles Istanbul from 2013 to 2015. As part of the executive committee team, she played an important role in the successful hotel opening and was instrumental in setting up the sales team in the region.
Zeynep began her hospitality career with The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul, joining the pre-opening team in 2001, said the statement.
In her new role, Zeynep will be overseeing the sales, marketing and communications, and events departments.
Commenting on the appointment, Ayman Gharib, the general manager, said: "We are delighted to see Zeynep's return to the Raffles family. I am confident that her wealth of experience, strategic market insight and strong leadership skills will drive our sales and marketing division to achieve even greater successes."
Zeynep holds a degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the Ankara University, as well as a graduate degree in Tourism Design and Management from the Istanbul Technical University.-TradeArabia News Service
