Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa, has resumed flights to Bahrain, ending a six-year hiatus.

The inaugural flight, which landed at the Bahrain International Airport on Friday (August 18), was celebrated at a ceremony held at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.
 
The African carrier will fly thrice-weekly between Bahrain and Addis Ababa, via Dammam in Saudi Arabia, and the route will be operated using the latest Boeing 737-800.
