Modhesh World extended until Eid Al Adha
DUBAI, August 8, 2017
Modhesh World, one of the most popular indoor edutainment destinations in the region, will be extended until Eid-Al-Adha vacations.
According to an announcement made by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), Modhesh World will now conclude on September 3, 2017 – three weeks after its original closing date of August 12.
Both residents and visitors can also expect new attractions that will be designed especially for the final three weeks of Modhesh World, alongside existing offerings in the form of numerous rides, games, workshops, live performances and the all-new food park arena.
Suhaila Saqer Obaid Ghubash, director, Festivals and Events, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: “The ongoing edition of Modhesh World has received an incredible response from visitors, and we thought that there is no better way to reward their support than by giving them more of what they have come to love. We believe that extending Modhesh World will liven up family-friendly entertainment in Dubai, especially during Eid holidays. This will also give those UAE-based families an opportunity to visit Modhesh World who were unable to do so due to travel commitments. Our motto is to spread happiness and cheer amongst people and offer Dubai’s visitors from across the globe a range of entertainment and leisure experiences, and thanks to the extension, we have an opportunity to do so for longer.”
Modhesh World has plenty in store for families that choose the destination for their summer excursion:
The convenience of zones
The 2017 edition of Modhesh World allows visitors to navigate seamlessly through the park as its various attractions are classified into distinct zones that occupy separate halls of Dubai World Trade Centre. Zone 1 hosts the all-new ‘Food Park DXB’ with over 20 curated food trucks that serve up mouthwatering and nutritious food for the whole family.
Exciting VR games and tech-infused rides are star attractions in ‘Road to Future’ which is Zone 2, whereas the adrenaline-driving rides and traditional arcade games where winners can collect redemption coupons for free gifts can be enjoyed in ‘Amusement Street’ (Zone 3) and ‘Winners’ Circle’ (Hall 4). Zone 5 features ‘Back to Nature’ where traditional games promote an active lifestyle, whereas Zone 6’s ‘Show Town’ is an entertainment hub where live performances enthrall the crowd.
Live performances that educate and delight
The final week’s roaster of performances at the Show Town zone are designed to end Modhesh World on a high note. Performers of the ‘Modhesh Roller Show’ will delight the audience with their breathtaking acrobats, freestyle skating and breakdancing that revolves around the plot of hunting down a BMX-riding ice-cream thief. Children are immersed into the energetic atmosphere and learn the importance of friendship, of fighting unfair practice and importantly, of forgiveness. The Show Town zone will come alive with everyone’s favourite mascot Modhesh meeting and greeting his fans at dedicated times of the day, among other new and exciting shows lined up until Eid that will be announced in due course.
Happiness and learning at workshops
The latest season of Modhesh World spreads the spirit of learning through free ‘edutainment’ workshops and corners spread across the park. Since Modhesh World opened its gates for the new season, a range of activities and workshops have spread cheer amongst visitors, children and adults alike. Popular attractions planned for the season include ‘Happiness Workshop’, ‘Music Workshop’, ‘Bubble Show’ and a ‘Magic Display’.
Witness the future of learning
Modhesh World has turned into a lively canvas where innovation meets learning and fun. One of the most popular attractions this year is a ‘futuristic playground’ – “WOW Kids.” It is a unique edutainment hub that enables kids of age four years and above to interact with creative media technologies and enjoy innovative artistic experiences. At Wow Kids, children shoot down flying saucers from a digital wall, see their painting on a paper come to life in a virtual animal kingdom and much more.
Modhesh World runs in Hall 1-6 in the Dubai World Trade Centre until 3 September 2017. Tickets are valued at just Dh20 ($5.4) and kids under the age of two enter for free. Regular timings: 11:00 am to 11:00 pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and 11:00 am till midnight from Thursday to Saturday. - TradeArabia News Service
