AirBaltic passenger numbers up 12pc in March

Latvian airline airBaltic saw passenger numbers increase by 12 per cent in March, with 224,921 passengers flying with the airline compared to the same period a year ago.
During the first three months of 2017, airBaltic carried a total of 588,768 passengers.
In March the airline operated 3,667 flights, or 14 per cent more than the same period of 2016, when airBaltic operated 3,230 flights. During the first three months of 2017 the airline operated 10 160 flights.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, was at a level of 68 per cent in March 2017. During the first three months of 2017, airBaltic load factor was at a level of 66 per cent.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 92.3 per cent in March 2017. This means that more than 92 of every 100 airBaltic flights in this year March departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
This summer, airBaltic will add 12 new routes to its network including cities of Madrid, Geneva, Aberdeen, Tampere, Stavanger, Gothenburg, Kazan, Catania and Liepaja. - TradeArabia News Service
