The Jordanian community putting up a performance

'Bahrain for all' festival announced

MANAMA, March 13, 2017

More than 40 embassies, clubs, societies, and organisations, including 12 directorates of the Ministry of Interior (MOI), will take part in the ‘Bahrain For All’ festival which will be held from 4pm to 10pm on April 7 at Prince Khalifa Park in Hidd.

The fifth 'Bahrian for All' community event will offer a range of live shows, including performances by Hamad ‘Mystro’ Al Fardan and DJ Westlife, all emceed by local comedian Ali ‘Fingerz’ Al Esbai. There will also be over 250 market stalls for visitors to enjoy as well as raffle draws with prizes offered by Sadad payment gateway. The organisers of Bahrain for All aim for the event to showcase unity and harmony amongst the kingdom’s various communities.

“This event showcases the cultural diversity of all the people that call Bahrain home. We will once again bring them all together for a day of fun, fostering a spirit of unity in diversity,” said organiser Nivedita Dhadphale. “Many of the communities have participated in this festival since 2013.This year we have an area dedicated to the Hidd Rehabilitation Centre, Think Pink, WWIC, Bahrain Association for Parents and Friends of the Disabled, Saudi Bahraini Institute of the Blind, Bahraini Association for Downs Syndrome and others who will sell hand made items. Our event has seen phenomenal grown thanks to the gracious support from officials, valued sponsors and the communities. Entrance to the event is free and everyone is welcome.”

One of the other highlights will be a live painting where artists from the various communities will paint sections of a sketch drawn by Bahrain-based Indian artist VR Sathyadev that tells a story about Bahrain. An artist from each community will paint a section of the sketch on a canvas during the day and the pieces will be put together to reveal the final work on stage later in the day.

The festival will have its own kids’ area emceed by local personality Mai Al Khatib. Children will be treated to a visit by Bahrain’s beloved TV presenter Baba Yaseen and popular patriotic figure, Um Hassan. The kids’ area will also have an all-day raffle where the youngsters will receive toys and gifts donated by Sadad, Dragon City, and MSK Racing Team.

The event is being sponsored by Manama Printers, Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort, Dragon City Bahrain, Aqua Cool, MSK Racing, Sada, and Hussain Mohammed Showaiter Sweets, as well as media partners Gulf Markets International (GMI), Al Wasat, Gulf Daily News (GDN), Bahrain This Week (BTW), Gulf Weekly, Daily Tribune (DT), WafiApps.com, and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC). - TradeArabia News Service
