A passenger plane of domestic flight got engine fire on landing in Tehran Mehrabad Airport on Saturday, Irna said, adding that no casualties were reported.

An eyewitness told Irna that the incident took place around 19:00 hours. Columns of smoke were billowing from the airport which was visible several kilometers away.

Spokesman of Tehran Municipality Fire Extinguishing Department Jalal Maliki said that the department received request at 19:50 and despatched three teams of firefighters to the scene.
