Mustafa named director of sales, marketing at Warwick Dubai
DUBAI, October 27, 2016
Luxury hotel Warwick Dubai has named Marwa Mustafa as the new director of sales and marketing.
Mustafa, who was previously the hotel's director of sales, brings over 15 years’ experience working in sales roles for numerous international brands across the Middle East.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Cairo, her first role in hospitality was in 2001 as group and tour coordinator for Hilton Worldwide, sparking her love for the industry. She then moved to the UAE in 2005 to work for InterContinental Hotel Group in the reservations team, followed by Radisson Blu and Accor Hotels where she developed her sales passion.
Mustafa’s first sales manager role came in 2009 with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, where she was in charge of developing and implementing new sales strategies, tactics and action plans for international Leisure & local corporate accounts. From here she was able to progress to become the director of sales for the brand, increasing the production of the leisure segment by 45 per cent and the corporate segment by 30 per cent.
Mustafa started 2011 by moving to Taj Palace Hotel as director of sales. During her time with the hotel, she had brilliant success, increasing occupancy levels by 20 per cent. Making the move to Warwick Hotels & Resorts in 2015 as the director of sales for Warwick Dubai, she led the corporate team successfully to increase the segment by 31 per cent. Her leadership skills and the positive results driven by smart sales strategies led her to be promoted to the director of sales and marketing at Warwick Dubai early this month.
“We have always appreciated Marwa’s hard work leading the Sales department of Warwick Dubai, which has recently amounted in her promotion to DOSM, said Bruno Hivon, general manager of Warwick Dubai. “Her proven sales record ensures she surpasses any target given and drives the hotel to continual success. With a passion for introducing news sales systems and marketing strategies, we have no doubt that Marwa will succeed in her new role with the hotel.” - TradeArabia News Service
