Mövenpick Jumeirah Lakes Towers wins top award

DUBAI, June 15, 2016

Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers was awarded the Best Hospitality Establishment Award at the DMCC Members Awards held at Almas Tower last month.

Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers was hailed by the judging panel for its desire to offer a contemporary hotel experience, an urban setting, while maintaining sustainable practices. As part of the whole guest experience, the hotel delivers sustainable business by enforcing energy saving initiatives, using locally sourced ingredients and recycling materials.

“We are extremely honoured to receive this award.” said Chadi Gedeon, the hotel’s general manager. “This accolade is recognition of our continued commitment to offering an upscale and personalised service to all of our guests, maintaining a reputation amongst professional travel experts and continuing to be an active member in the community. Throughout our three years of operation within DMCC, the hotel has established a strong presence in the area and became a destination for both leisure and corporate guests.”

Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers proudly stands its ground in New Dubai’s dynamic residential and commercial quarter, Jumeirah Lakes Towers. The five-star, 168-room contemporary designed hotel offers idyllic views of Jumeirah Lakes and the Dubai Marina skyline, three ambient dining venues and convenient meeting facilities. Located just a short walk from the nearest metro station and with direct access to Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai’s key business districts and commercial free zones are nearby, while shopping malls, beaches, golf courses and world-renowned attractions are all within easy reach.

During his opening remarks, Gautam Sashittal, chief executive officer, DMCC, said: “DMCC is a melting pot of diverse member companies from just about every sector of the economy, and almost every country on earth. You bring such a broad variety of skills, ideas, products and services into the DMCC Free Zone. The judges would have had quite a challenge choosing the winners. In our view, every DMCC member company is a winner from the day they sign up. So thank you all for contributing to our collective success.”

Open to over 12,000 companies based in its Free Zone, DMCC launched the Members Awards to recognise top performance, innovation and growth across 21 awards categories which were assessed by an independent judging panel comprising of: Adel Kalantar, director of registration and licensing department, Dubai Maritime City Authority; Muhammed Mekki, founding partner of AstroLabs; Jeffrey Rhodes, CEO of Zee Gold; Yogesh Mehta, managing director, Petrochem; Ludmila Yamalova, founder and managing partner, HPL Yamalova & Plewka; and Tanya Selley, editor, Business Insight - flipflop media.

Free Zone director Krysta Fox, said: “It is an absolute honour and privilege to see the dynamism and energy amongst the over 12,000 member companies in DMCC. All your outstanding accomplishments have not only helped make DMCC the largest and fastest growing Free Zone in the UAE but also in positioning Dubai as one of the  most pro-business cities in the World. Huge congratulations to each and every one of you for your achievements – we look forward to reaching even greater heights with you in the future.” - TradeArabia News Service
