QAIA welcomes Fly Jordan's inaugural flight

Jordan airport welcomes Fly Jordan’s first flight

AMMAN, January 11, 2016

Jordan’s Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed the arrival of Fly Jordan’s first flight from Sharm El Sheikh‎ on January 9.

The reception took place in the presence of Airport International Group CEO, Kjeld Binger, Fly Jordan chairman, Amjad Maslamani, and the airline’s director general, Captain Basil Obeidat, in addition to several Members of Parliament and guests of honour.

“We would like to extend our congratulations to Fly Jordan on the launch of its operations at QAIA. We’re delighted to welcome the airline to the airport’s network, offering travellers more options for flights to and from Jordan and, as such, supporting the objectives of the National Tourism Strategy, as well as bolstering QAIA’s standing as a transit hub. On that note, we wish Fly Jordan all the best in its future endeavors,” Binger said.

Captain Obeidat said: “The airline began operating charter flights as of January 8, in order to meet the growing internal and external demands for these types of trips, especially from Dallas Travel & Tourism, a strategic partner of Fly Jordan.”

“This step will not only serve the domestic tourism sector in terms of arriving and departing Jordanians, Arabs and foreign tourists alike,  but it will also boost this vital sector, especially during the current period,” he said. – TradeArabia News Service
