Ramada to open new hotel on Amwaj Island

MANAMA, November 8, 2015

Ramada, part of international hospitality chain Wyndham Hotel Group, has unveiled plans for a new 162-room hotel in Bahrain’s Amwaj Island.

Opening late December this year, Ramada Hotel & Suites Amwaj Island will be within walking distance from Amwaj Marina and the Amwaj Lagoon, and will include an all-day-dining restaurant and lobby café. The hotel will also feature the city’s first Moroccan fine dining outlet, located on a rooftop terrace offering stunning views of the Arabian Sea.
 
Flexible meeting space at the hotel will accommodate up to 200 people cocktail reception style, while extensive leisure facilities will include a state-of-the-art gymnasium fitted with Cybex strength and cardio equipment comprising of individual work out stations and individual LCD screens on treadmills. For ultimate relaxation, the hotel will feature four treatment rooms with waiting area offering a variety of treatments ranging from Swedish, Ayurvedic and Thai massage, as well as a ladies salon, a swimming pool and an indoor Jacuzzi with a sauna and steam rooms.

Members of the group’s loyalty programme Wyndham Rewards will be able to earn valuable points during their stay. Points may be redeemed for a wide variety of reward options including free hotel stays, air travel, gift cards for leading retailers and more.

Further in the pipeline of hotels in Bahrain is the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, a luxurious 450-room hotel located in Juffair, with leisure facilities and  various food and beverage outlets such as casual dining Italian, fine dining Indian, Brazilian restaurant, all-day-dining, deli, coffee shop and bar.
