Al Tayyar Travel Q3 net profit up 8.6pc

RIYADH, October 21, 2015

Saudi Arabia's Al Tayyar Travel Group said it has registered an 8.6 per cent jump in its net profit for the third quarter, driven by higher sales.

The company made a net profit of SR265 million ($70.7 million) in the three months to September 30, up from SR244 million in the prior-year period, according to a bourse filing.

Al Tayyar, whose founder Nasser bin Aqeel Al Tayyar stepped down as vice chairman and managing director on September 1, said quarterly sales rose eight per cent year-on-year thanks to more branches as well as acquisitions.-Reuters
