Jumeirah Hotels at Saraya Bandar Jissah...new face of hospitality
Jumeirah hotels at Saraya Bandar to redefine Oman's hospitality
MUSCAT, October 5, 2015
Hospitality in Oman will soon be redefined by the upcoming two new five-star Jumeirah hotels within the $600 million Saraya Bandar Jissah development, currently under construction on the outskirts of Muscat.
Ashraf Mahmoud, senior design manager for Saraya Bandar Jissah said the two upcoming hotels will deliver an authentic Omani experience for guests, coupled with Jumeirah’s luxurious reputation for hospitality. According to him, great effort has been made in blending together a sleek and individual contemporary design with the surroundings of Bandar Jissah mountainous topography, incorporating traditional Omani architectural themes and design elements.
Drawing inspiration from historical buildings like forts and castles and adopting the Omani and Islamic architectural traditions and design approach, the design teams from Saraya and Jumeirah are working hard to integrate them with the new urban design.
Commenting on the landmark Jumeirah Hotels rapidly taking shape in Bandar Jissah bay, Mahmoud said: “On the foreshore of Saraya Bandar Jissah are the resort and boutique hotels. The resort hotel will have 206 keys while the boutique hotel will offer 112 keys. Having Jumeirah make their debut in the sultanate at Saraya Bandar Jissah significantly raises the bar in terms of what Oman’s tourism industry will have to offer. The Jumeirah Group is known for their high-end, luxurious and distinctive properties, and the two hotels are a perfect fit for their brand ethos.”
Mahmoud, a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) will oversee the design and technical aspects of the unique development, with the two beachfront hotels offering a distinct choice of boutique or resort style guest experiences, operated by the pioneers in the hospitality business, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts.
