Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, a luxury property in Dubai, UAE, has appointed David Wilson as its new general manager.
Wilson, an accomplished hospitality executive, with over 30 years of international experience, will direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the landmark resort.

Most recently, he served as the managing director of Ritz-Carlton Beijing and JW Marriott Beijing. Prior to this role, he held extensive leadership positions at properties around the globe including general manager at The Ritz Carlton Bali Resort and Spa where he successfully developed and launched 40 new on-property villas, a spa and a new restaurant concept. Wilson's other global hospitality positions include senior management roles with Shangri-La Luxury Hotels and Hyatt Hotels.
Since opening in March 2014, Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah has positioned itself as one of the most iconic beach front locations in the Middle East. Wilson will apply his extensive experience in all facets of the hospitality industry to ensure the landmark property continues to provide authentic moments, unforgettable experiences and True Waldorf Service, the cornerstones of the Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts brand.
