'Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor' unveiled at Meliá Doha

Meliá Doha, a leading five-star hotel in the Qatari capital, celebrated the grand launch of its contemporary Indian restaurant ‘Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor’.

Launched by Master chef Sanjeev Kapoor himself, the new restaurant has redefined traditional Indian cuisine by creating imaginative dishes infused with new flavours, served artfully to guests. The avant-garde restaurant showcases "art on a plate," an Indian dining experience where food is synonymous with entertainment.

Elegantly themed interiors have been designed to create an intimate atmosphere with elegant wooden finishes and white tablecloths. Equally, the outdoor terrace invited diners to enjoy a delightful meal set against the backdrop of Doha's West Bay.

The flagship outlet opened its door for patrons in Doha in February 2015. This is the second association of Kapoor's brand with Meliá Hotels International after the very successful 'Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor' launch at Meliá Dubai.

"At Signature, you will be greeted by a staff trained to provide you with a top-notch dining experience as well as a menu that integrates the best of traditional Indian cuisine with signature dishes that showcase quintessential Indian ingredients and cooking techniques," Sanjeev Kapoor explained.

A special meat fare consisting of dishes like Murg Zatar Parmesan Tikka, Patthar ke Kebab, Traditional Galouti, Reshmi Lamb Asharfiyan, Gharha Raan, Dum Naryali Prawns, Murgh Pardha Biryani, Tiger Prawn Biryani and Signature Galouti Naan has been created keeping in mind the Arabic palette of Doha patrons, with the finest of ingredients.

At the same time, an element of fusion has also been added to classic dishes. Regular features include the Tandoori Mahi Tikka, Sarson ka Saag, Hyderabadi Gosht Biryani, Lalla Mussa Dal, Nalli Rogan Josh as well as unique fares such as the Paneer Panch Phoran Tikka/Dibs Rumman, Chicken Centimeter, and Guntur Chili Peppery Prawns.

An exciting and innovative dessert menu boasts dishes like Gajrela Umali, Gulab Jamun Samosas, Shivalik Range Ras Madhuri and "The Electric Kulfi" - a frozen treat that is packed with surprises. Sorbets including Tropical Nariyal and Lemongrass and Cinnamon Aam Ras have also been added to the menu.
