Turkish Airlines launches new Venice-Istanbul route

ISTANBUL, August 24, 2015

Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier of the country, has launched a new route from the Venice Marco Polo Airport to the Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Turkish Airlines recently announced that it will increase its flight frequencies to Istanbul by offering a new route. As well as the already existing 24 weekly flights connecting the Venezia Marco Polo Airport to the Istanbul Atatürk Airport, the air carrier will inaugurate a new connection to the Sabiha Gökçen Airport, located in the Asian side of the city.

This new flight will be operated daily, thus increasing to 31 the total number of weekly connections between Venice and Istanbul.

Venice becomes the 25th flight destination operated from/to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport

Introductory round trip fares start at €149 ($169.6), inclusive of taxes and fees.

Additionally, Miles&Smiles members will be allowed a 25 per cent reduction in the miles needed to redeem either award tickets or upgrades on the new route. – TradeArabia News Service
