Staff members of Amwaj Rotana - Jumeirah Beach Residence, a leading hotel in Dubai, UAE, today embarked on their first Community Day, distributing refreshments to those working around the hotel vicinity in the summer heat.

A team of 16 members handed out refreshments such as cold water, fresh fruits, muffins and soft drinks to security guards, taxi drivers and builders near the hotel’s surrounding area.

"All we spent was about an hour going around the buildings close to us to distribute the refreshments and we already felt the fatigue caused by the 40 degree temperature. It's needless to say what those who toil under the sun feel each day of summer," said Jasmine Arika, director of Marketing and Communications.
