RJ...expanding its operations
RJ flights to Tabuk commence today
AMMAN, July 15, 2015
Royal Jordanian, the national carrier of Jordan, will launch its first regular route between Amman and Tabuk, northern Saudi Arabia, today (July 15).
The latest addition raises the number of destinations in Saudi Arabia to five including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah, besides Tabuk.
The new route also increases the frequency of flights between Jordan and Saudi Arabia to around 60 weekly: 12 to Riyadh, 28 to Jeddah, 10 to Dammam, seven to Madinah in addition to the two weekly flights to Tabuk, which may increase to more in light of the demand for a larger capacity on this route.
Operations to Tabuk are in response to the growing air transportation between the two kingdoms, which serves Jordanians, Arabs and international citizens working in Tabuk.
Launching the new route in Saudi Arabia is part of the airline’s new strategy, which focuses at this phase on boosting services and operations in the Middle East and the Arab Gulf; including reaching new destinations and increasing frequency to current destinations.
Saudis living in the north of Saudi Arabia will also be able to visit Amman and travel beyond on the RJ route network or those of the oneworld carriers.
Moreover, citizens of the northern part of Saudi Arabia looking to travel to Jordan for medical treatment will now be able to do so in a comfortable way, the airline said in a statement.
Air access to Amman will spare passengers the trouble of traveling overland, especially during the Hajj and Umrah seasons, when crossing the borders may take longer time due to the very busy traffic.
Passengers wishing to fly RJ may book their flights from any of its sales offices through its booking engine at www.rj.com, or contact the RJ call centre at +962 6 5100000. – TradeArabia News Service
