Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, an international hospitality chain, has appointed Craig Bruce as general manager of Grand Millennium Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

With over 10 years’ experience, Bruce’s distinguished background in the hospitality industry combined with a thorough understanding of the local market will ensure the reputation of the five-star hotel continues to grow from strength to strength, the hotel said in a statement.

South African-born Bruce joins Grand Millennium Al Wahda from a variety of roles with Radisson Blu, including most recently as general manager of Radisson Blu Hotel and Park Inn on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Prior to this, he honed his skills at the luxury Sun International Zimbali Hotel and Country Club in South Africa.

In his new role, Bruce will be overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the 844-room hotel as well as utilising his hands-on management style to deliver the highest standards of service.
