Saraya Bandar Jissah, the developer of the newest integrated tourism complex (ITC) in Oman, has awarded a RO37-million ($95.8 million) contract to Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG) to build the second five-star hotel on the beachfront of Bandar Jissah bay.

According to the contract, HLG will undertake structural and civil works, fit-out and interior works, furniture, fixtures and equipment, alongside mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services and roads, car-parking and landscaping, said the company in a statement.

The second five-star hotel at Saraya Bandar Jissah will offer 112 rooms. Modelled on the traditional Omani village architecture, the hotel will be structured around three levels with different heights flowing down to the beach level, the statement said.

With this contract, HLG will be constructing both of Saraya Bandar Jissah’s five star hotels as it has already already been contracted to construct of other hotel.

Set to open in 2017, the two hotels - both operated by Jumeirah Group - form the major leisure and hospitality components of Saraya Bandar Jissah.

Meanwhile, Saraya Bandar Jissah has launched the exclusive Nameer Island villas on the market. Currently only 33 of these villas will be available for sale.

Located at the very heart of the Saraya Bandar Jissah development, the signature Island villas surrounded by iconic lagoon offer a modern contemporary design and a luxury lifestyle, located a stone’s throw from the pristine beachfront.
