Taiwanese airline V Air to launch Macau flights
TAIPEI, March 28, 2015
V Air, a low-cost carrier unit of Taiwan's TransAsia Airways, has announced plans to launch direct flights from capital Taipei to Macau from April 10 onwards.
Starting initially with three round-trip flights per week, the schedule is expected to be increased to daily service in early June, said a statement from the Taiwanese airline.
To celebrate the new service, V Air will be launching a three-day promotion sale with an introductory one-way offer (airport tax excluded) of TWD888 ($28.4) from Taipei and HK$222 ($28.6) for services from Macau.
Over 3,800 tickets will be available at the special introductory rate during the sale which begins at 8am on April 1 and ends on April 3. The valid travel dates are between April 10 and May 13.
The Taipei-Macau route is expected to become daily service in early June, after an Airbus A320 aircraft joining the fleet.
V Air currently owns one A321 aircraft and aims to grow its fleet to a minimum 5 aircraft by the end of 2015. -TradeArabia News Service
