RJ...prioritising passengers' safety

RJ diverts flight to save passenger's life

AMMAN, March 16, 2015

Royal Jordanian (RJ), the national carrier of Jordan, diverted a flight en route from Chicago to Amman to provide first aid to a passenger.

Four hours after its departure, flight RJ 264 landed at Montreal Airport in Canada today (March 16) to offer treatment as quickly as possible.

The 70-year-old Jordanian female passenger suddenly felt extreme fatigue during the flight, rendering the captain to request permission to land at the nearest airport.

An ambulance was waiting upon landing, and the passenger was accompanied by RJ’s employees at Montreal station to one of the hospitals close to the airport.

The plane, with 224 passengers on board, resumed its flight to Amman after a two-hour delay in Montreal. – TradeArabia News Service
