The pivotal role played by travel agents in the success of Oman Air was acknowledged at an event held by the airline in Muscat, Oman, recently.

Oman Air brought together travel agents from around the country and celebrated their achievements on behalf of both Oman Air and Oman as a destination for overseas visitors.

The event was held at the Grand Hyatt hotel on August 27.

This was the first opportunity that chief executive officer Paul Gregorowitsch had to meet representatives of the travel trade in Oman since taking up his post at the start of August.

“I was delighted to meet recently with many of the Omani travel agents who have played such an important role in Oman Air’s continuing success and I would like to express my thanks to them for all their invaluable efforts. Whilst we maintain healthy ticket sales through our website at www.omanair.com, the role of agents in planning and recommending travel arrangement remains absolutely essential and without their hard work and continued commitment Oman Air would not be the international success it is now,” Gregorowitsch said.

“The partnerships, training and incentives that Oman Air offers have been warmly received by the trade and the results have been tremendous. The summit that we held at the Grand Hyatt Muscat was therefore an ideal opportunity to review previous activity, outline our future plans and express our gratitude to travel agents from throughout the Sultanate.
