Elaf sees demand for new Makkah hotel

Riyadh, May 22, 2014

Saudi Arabia-based Elaf Group of Companies said its upcoming hotel project in Makkah, Elaf Al Salam, has been drawing a lot of attention and was a big hit at the recent Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.

The Elaf group was part of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) pavilion which also featured several other companies from kingdom's tourism industry and the hospitality sector.

Ziyad Bin Mahfouz, the president of Elaf Group of Companies, said: “We are very thankful for the overwhelming response and the opening of opportunities that we have received at this year’s ATM. In fact, we experienced an eight to ten per cent increase in attendance as compared to our participation last year."

"Our stand was always full of people inquiring and asking about our hotels, which reflects the increased awareness on the Elaf brand and its products and services," he stated.

Bin Mahfouz said Elaf has been achieving its goals over the years especially in terms of meeting the requirements of those travelling for religious purposes.

"We have also constantly contributed to the development of the country’s tourism industry. One example of this commitment is 'Elaf Al Salam' hotel, which represents a successful combination of luxury and opulence along with the finest services and amenities that the Elaf brand is known for," he remarked.

"And from another point of view, Elaf is also contributing to the Saudi hospitality industry through its Hajj and Ummrah services, where its specialised team promoted these services to all potential clients as well as to all participating foreign tour operators," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
