Etihad Holidays launches Germany operations

Etihad Holidays, a division of the UAE national carrier, has launched its services in Germany, the largest outbound travel market in Europe with 33 million potential passengers.

Germany is Etihad Holidays’ second venture in Europe, after the United Kingdom, reflecting its growing expertise in providing customers with the ideal package of accommodation, excursions, transfers and Etihad Airways flights, said the statement from Etihad.

The move is aimed at catering to the growing outbound leisure travel demand to Abu Dhabi and beyond from one of its key global markets, it stated.

Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ chief commercial officer, said: "Etihad Holidays has expanded considerably in our home market and regionally, with popular retail centresand preferred distribution partnerships, so it is an ideal moment to take thebrand to Germanyand give holidaymakers the chance to book and enjoy our extensive range of packages."

“Etihad Airways has a strong customer base inGermany, using our 42 flights per week, soon to be 49, out of Germany, in partnership with our equity partner airberlin. These flights from Munich,Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Berlin, will boost significantly the new Etihad HolidaysGermany operations,” he added.

The markets available to German travellers include UAE, Oman, Seychelles, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and China, with the options set to expand further in the coming months, said the company in a statement.

In addition, Etihad Holidays products are also available for travellers from Austria with airberlin, operating from Vienna and Salzburg, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
