Pullman Dubai names new GM

Dubai, September 16, 2012

Pullman Deira City Centre Dubai, an upscale international hotel brand of Accor, has appointed Jean-Phillipe Bittencourt as its new general manager to spearhead the property’s new brand identity.

The first stage of the rebranding is expected for completion during the third quarter of 2012 when the hotel, formerly known as The City Centre Hotel, will finally become a Pullman Hotel.

The hotel’s banqueting and meeting rooms alongside the Business Centre will be integrated during the 2nd phase of its re-branding, marking a turning point for the hotel and its new identity.

As general manager, Jean-Philippe will spearhead the property’s new brand identity whilst driving its new positioning and building its profile across locally, regionally, and international markets, said a statement from Pullman.

He will re-launch the hotel’s renovated facilities including 317 rooms, 4 food and beverage outlets including Le Cafe at the lobby lounge, Medley, the hotel’s signature restaurant and La Fabrique, a trendy Sports Bar, a Spa and Fitness Area.

Jean-Philippe was previously the GM of Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche where he managed the pre-opening and successful opening of the hotel.

He has almost 30 years experience in the hospitality industry working in France, Morocco, Argentina, Brazil and the UAE.

“I look forward to taking on the challenge of ensuring this new addition to the Pullman property remains on par with the brand’s exceptional standards while competing in the growing hospitality industry here in the UAE as well as across the region" said Jean-Phillipe Bittencourt.-TradeArabia News Service
