Dubai, May 21, 2012

Chefs from Al Bustan Rotana Dubai, a major five-star hotel, won top awards at the Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) 2012 held in Singapore recently.

The event, which was attended by hundreds of kitchen masters from all over Asia, provided an exciting venue for chefs to engage on competitions showcasing various gastronomic categories.

Al Bustan Rotana’s executive pastry Chef Mahesha Dinakara brought home the bronze award for the Petit Four category while Sous Chef Kapila Amaratunga bagged two bronze medals in the Wedding Cake and Pastry Showpiece competitions.

Competing against and standing out among other culinary professionals from different countries including Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and more, the two chefs from the hotel have proven that Al Bustan Rotana Dubai’s culinary expertise is at par with international standards, a statement said.

Hussein Hachem, cluster general manager of Al Bustan and Al Murooj Rotana Dubai said: “We are very proud of what our pastry chefs have accomplished at the recent FHA 2012.”

“Bringing home the awards is another manifestation of our culinary success and it goes to show our team’s excellence to stand out in competitions not only in the region, but in other parts of the world as well,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
