Starwood appoints new general manager

Amman, May 13, 2012

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Enda M Mullin as general manager of Jordan-based Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel & Towers.

Mullin has been working with Starwood Hotels & Resorts over the past 12 years, at several of its city and resort properties in Ireland and Greece.

“We are in a people industry, and people - our owners, associates and customers - will ultimately determine our success. Amman enjoys a very sophisticated and well-travelled guest profile, and our goal is to ensure that we create a personal connection with each guest so as to build loyalty and repeat custom,” he said.

“The key to our success now and into the future is the talent of our people, the creation of a strong brand culture that is infused throughout the entire organisation, and dynamic leadership that can inspire and motivate,” Mullin added.

Mullin brings with him an international background in the industry, having previously worked in South Africa, Malaysia, Scotland and Greece in addition to his native Ireland, at leading hotel chains including the Westin and Luxury Collection brands under Starwood, Sun International Hotels in Southern Africa, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts in Malaysia and Hilton Hotels Worldwide in the UK. – TradeArabia News Service
