Al Foah Company, the largest producer of dates in the world, will launch three of its new products developed specifically for international markets during Sial China 2012, the global food marketplace.

Sial China is taking place from May 9 to 11 at the New International Expo Centre in Shanghai.

Al Foah will promote its three main brands including Date Crown; Al Foah’s first international brand launched in 2009 and Saad; A bulk brand which is used to pack all dates varieties in the 5kg cartons and above.

The third brand, Zadina, is the culinary artisan and the cultural ambassador of Emirati dates, introducing food lovers everywhere to the delights of the world's most ancient wonder-fruit through an array of mouth-watering yet 'healthier for you delicacies’, a statement said.

Zadina started producing dates not only as a cornerstone of its product portfolio, but also as a key component in a range of innovative products based on dates, it added.

Rashid Mubarak Al Hajeri, chairman of the Board Al Foah Company said: “China, regardless of its size is a country with high population density, a strong economy and is set among the first countries in the world targeted by Al Foah, in line with the company’s vision of bringing the remarkableness of dates into the daily life of every person around the globe.”

“Dates exports to China for Al Foah Company have exceeded 2600 tons in the last year and China is considered to be one of the most promising and emerging markets in the world in terms of the population’s demand for dates."

“Al Foah Company is the largest national company worldwide to produce dates. It produces more than 90000 tons of dates per year and exports more than 90 per cent of its production to international markets. In addition to the dates received from more than 16000 farmers from across the UAE, from Liwa in the Western Region to the Central Region in Al Ain and the Northern areas like Ras Al Khaimah, and others,” he added.

Musallam Obaid Al Ameri, general manager Al Foah Company said: “Al Foah products exist in more than 33 countries around the world; Asian markets including India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Malaysia are the largest markets that import Al Foah products.”

“The exhibition as an opportunity to introduce high quality UAE dates to the Chinese markets. Al Foah is currently looking for distributors in China for their products. The company seeks to develop its market in China and looks at the exhibition as an effective means to achieve this purpose,” he concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
