The Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa has won the Business Traveller Middle East Award for the best business resort in Bahrain and the World Travel Awards Middle East 2012 for being the country's leading spa resort.

The awards were conferred during a VIP gala hosted by World Travel Awards (WTA) at Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa, Dubai.

Senior tourism figures and international media from more than 30 nations attended the ceremony, which was followed by a glittering show by Lebanese pop star Carole Samaha, with Wonho Chung providing the comedy and South African string quartet Sterling EQ also performing. – TradeArabia News Service
