Spain opens pavilion in Dubai's Global Village

Ambassador of Spain to the UAE, Gonzalo de Benito, opened the Spanish pavilion in Global Village, as it participates for the first time in the main entertainment, cultural and family fun destination in the region.

The opening took place in the presence of Khalid Karmastji, executive director of commercial transactions management in Global Village and a number of senior officials and personalities, a statement from a top official said.

“As Global Village is the key entertainment and shopping destination in the region, attracting many countries from around the world we aim from this participation to inform the audience to the distinguished products and rich heritage and culture of Spain,” Benito said.

“Global Village is constantly seeking to host new countries ever year. Three countries are participating this year for the first time including Tunisia, Spain and Kyrgyzstan,” Karmastji said.

Global Village focuses on diversity, plurality and uniqueness of all its offering which contributes greatly to attract more countries and investment year after year. These features lead to an increase of the number of visitors who exceed millions every year, he said. 

Since its inauguration in 1997, Global Village has become the key entertainment and shopping destination in the region, the statement said.

It includes rich diverse cultures and civilisations and offers a diverse range of restaurants and shops from across the world, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
