Oman Air bolsters air marshalling team

Muscat, December 11, 2011

Oman Air, the national carrier of Oman, has appointed 10 new staff members to its marshalling team at Muscat International Airport.

The positions were widely advertised throughout Oman and each vacancy has been taken up by an Omani national, followed by interviews in which candidates were required to demonstrate fluency in both Arabic and English language.

The appointments strengthen Oman Air’s policy of Omanisation, which provides employment and career development opportunities for citizens of the Sultanate and helps to build a sustainable skills base within the country.

Ali Redha Mohammed Baqir, senior manager Third Party and Technical Support of Oman Air Line Maintenance Engineering Division said: “We are delighted to welcome ten new marshallers to the Third Party Line Maintenance team within Oman Air’s Engineering Division and we wish them every success within their chosen careers.”

“Each marshaller will hold a high degree of responsibility and is a much-valued part of Oman Air’s expert staff. Furthermore, the new team members are making an invaluable contribution to Oman Air’s drive to employ as many Omanis as possible at all levels of the organisation.”

“We are totally committed to providing high quality employment and training opportunities for the people of the Sultanate and to assist every individual achieve their full potential,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
