A 13-year old Sri Lankan schoolgirl won a brand new luxury BMW in an ongoing promotion of  Dubai Shopping Malls Group.

Mahagedara Hewage Malshani, a grade seven student of Emirates English Speaking School, was picked the fourth winner of the promotion that offers ten lucky winners the chance to win BMW cars during Dubai Summer Surprises and Ramadan-in-Dubai.

Malshani entered the raffle draw this week after her family shopped for a washing machine at Oasis Centre earlier this week.

“It was a huge surprise and I am really thrilled,” said the teenager who turns 14 next month. “It is like an advance birthday present.”

The 10-week citywide promotion runs concurrently across 14 participating malls in Dubai with the last draw set to be held on August 31, ahead of Eid-Al-Fitr.

Shoppers spending a total of Dh200 ($54.45) at any of the 14 participating malls will be eligible to participate in the promotion, through exchanging the purchase receipts for a raffle coupon. – TradeArabia News Service
