US firm completes DIFC hotel project
Dubai, May 14, 2011
US-based interior design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) continues to lead design in the Middle East with the opening of its ninth regional property, the Ritz-Carlton at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
HBA, a key designer of hotels, resorts and spas headquartered in Los Angeles, said since its Dubai office launch in 2000, it has completed several high-end projects.
These include the Taj Palace Dubai, Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anatara, Amethyst Lounge Beirut and the two Abu Dhabi St. Regis hotels which opens later this year.
The partnership of HBA and The Ritz-Carlton has spanned 20 years and the completion of the DIFC location marks their 26th property, said the HBA in its statement.
The Ritz-Carlton project covers an entire city block where HBA designed the 341-room hotel and 124 executive residences. The property also consists of 300 condominiums and luxury retail.
Inspired by grand European hotels like the Ritz in London and Paris, the 14-storey limestone building stands in strong contrast to the steel and glass skyscrapers that surround it, the HBA said.
The luxury hotel offers guests an exceptional array of amenities and impeccable service, it added.
'After a day at the office or enjoying the city, guests at this luxury hotel in Dubai can indulge in a soothing spa treatment or enjoy an unforgettable dining experience at one of the hotel’s world-class restaurants and lounges,' the top designer said.
The US company employs over 450 design professionals in 13 offices around the globe, and has successfully completed well over 900 projects in 80 countries, from world-class hotels and resorts to individual boutique hotels, spas, casinos, cruise ships and private residences.-TradeArabia News Service
