Bahrain resort set to open 6 new chalets

Manama, March 14, 2011

Six new luxury chalets are set to open at a Bahrain beach resort off the Sitra coast soon, it has been revealed.

The Al Dar North Beach Boutique is part of an expansion project of the Al Dar Islands, said owning company Rashid Investment Holdings project manager Simon Smugg.

'The chalets, with one, two or three-bedroom facilities, will feature state-of-the-art facilities and all modern amenities,' he told our sister newspaper Gulf Daily News (GDN).

'These will be up and running within the next few days after all finishing touches have been completed.'

Smugg said there have been a lot of visitors to the islands since it reopened for the season earlier this month.

'There are now several new facilities that visitors can enjoy,' he said.

The number of visitors per day has been restricted to 150 to maintain a feel of exclusivity.

Additional facilities include an extended front main beach area and six shaded double beds having been set up on the water's edge that could be hired for the day.

'There is also an elevated view from the beach, housing high tables and chairs, whereas a new shower block has been built with changing rooms and outdoor showers,' said Smugg.

He said for a limited period, for BD5 per person, visitors get a return sea taxi ride, entry to the island and a sun lounger.

'The sea taxi runs when needed, from the Sitra fisherman's wharf,' said Smugg.-TradeArabia News Service
