Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) has won a contract from Athens-based Gainjet Aviation SA, a leading private aircraft charter operator and management company, to provide pilot training for its Gulfstream fleet.
ECFT is a joint venture between Emirates Group and CAE, a leader in providing simulation and modelling technologies and integrated training solutions for civil aviation and defence forces.
As per the deal signed on the sidelines of Middle East Business Aviation show on Wednesday, the ECFT will provide flight training for Gainjet pilots on Gulfstream G450, G550 and Bombardier Global Express at the Dubai centre.
Commenting on the deal, Gainjet president Ramsey Shaban said, 'Safety and flexibility are essential for the on-demand nature of our business. We have been very impressed with the safety-enhancing simulation technology that CAE brings to the training suite and ECFT's willingness to adapt to Gainjet's training requirements and crew schedules.'
CAE also provides training for Gainjet pilots on the Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft at Embraer-CAE Training Services in Burgess Hill, UK and the Gulfstream G200 at the CAE North East Training Center in Morristown, New Jersey.
