Manama, September 9, 2010
Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, will focus on implementing its new strategy, designed to streamlining the airline and create a commercially sustainable business at an upcoming conference in Bahrain.
The Leading Change event, organised by MSB Consultancy, will be held on October 27 at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa.
Gulf Air chief executive officer Samer Majali, who will be a keynote speaker at the event, will also focus on raising the levels of product and service delivery to higher quality and greater consistence.
Business leaders will gather to showcase the ways in which organisations are rising to the challenge of leading their teams and empowering their employees to make the best business decisions for the company and its stakeholders.
Highlighting the communications imperative, his speech will outline the importance of effective two-way communication and on-going employee engagement as a crucial success factor in the implementation of the new strategy.
'I am delighted to be a keynote speaker at the leading conference and to have the opportunity to present a number of tactics used in leading through change to business leaders in Bahrain,' said Majali.
'Education, as well as being an important tool in managing change, is important to career development. Hopefully the conference will provide the delegates with additional knowledge that they can apply at their workplaces,' he added.
'We are delighted to confirm that Majali, a leading authority in the aviation and wider business arena, will be speaking at the conference in October,' said MSB founder and joint managing director Don Porter.
'Majali brings with him a wealth of knowledge and insight and we look forward to hearing his views on the importance of leadership at Gulf Air during this exciting period in the airline's development.”
'The conference itself is a great opportunity for business leaders to hear from key local, regional and international industry figures and to benefit from their vast experience and therefore further enhance the performance of their businesses,' Porter added.
The Leading Change conference is the first of its kind in Bahrain and will provide local and regional businesses with access to a wide range of speakers from leading organisations, offering them the chance to build on their knowledge and share insights.
The conference is also a good opportunity for the business leaders to network across the industry sectors.
Majali will be joined by other speakers from the aviation industry including Bahrain Airport Company chief executive officer Gordon Dewar and Emirates Airline senior vice-president cabin crew training Catherine Baird. – TradeArabia News Service
