Al Bustan Rotana Dubai, a leading hospitality group, has announced the appointment of veteran Rogier van der Werf as the new director of employee development (ED).

Rogier, a Dutch national is no stranger to the Rotana property, where he first occupied the post of employee development officer back in 2006, said a statement from Al Bustan Rotana Dubai.

He was eventually promoted as assistant director of ED for Al Bustan Rotana in 2007 before moving to Towers Rotana as director, it said.

Starting his career in the hospitality industry at 15 years of age, Rogier knew his passion lies on training and maximizing people’s potentials, said the statement.

Believing that employees are an organisation’s most important assets, his initiatives include extensive and strategic training plans for each and every employee of the hotel, customised based on individual learning needs with the end goals of individual personal development and optimized business results, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
