Yemen Airways adopts Amadeus solution
Sana’a, May 23, 2010
Amadeus, a global provider of technology and distribution solutions to the travel and tourism industry, said Yemen Airways has implemented its Access Update supporting Dynamic Schedules.
The Amadeus access update will allow the airline to load and update schedules in real-time, and ensure a secure synchronisation of flight schedules between Yemen Airways and Amadeus.
For travel agencies this agreement offers maximised sales opportunities with provision of real-time information availability to travel agents. It also increases their flexibility and avoids lost sales as Amadeus displays are always synchronised with the airline inventory and reduces manual handling and processing errors.
The implementation is the result of a 10 year distribution agreement that was signed in 2009 between Amadeus and Arab Air Carriers Organisation, of which Yemen Airways is a carrier member.
“As the preferred technology partner, our role is to support the travel and tourism industry, to increase business efficiency, reduce operating costs, and offer efficient customer service,” said Abdulfatah Altwaity, general manager, Amadeus Yemen.
“The Amadeus Access Update offers a comprehensive solution to the travel agents, supporting them to grow their business further,” added Muneer Jahwash, Yemenia deputy managing director for Commercial Affairs.
