Al Diar Siji Hotel in Fujairah, a five-star hotel managed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels, is set to strengthen its presence at an upcoming meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) event in Abu Dhabi.

The Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (GIBTM) Exhibition will run from March 29 to 31 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec).

With the decrease in global business travels and room occupancy last year, Al Diar Siji Hotel has shifted its focus and has banked on MICE specially packaged with its food and beverage.

“The result has been good.  We have been busy with conferences, company meetings and trainings, as well as weddings and other functions, thereby giving the hotel’s income a boost,” said Fouad Melhem, the hotel’s general manager.

Shankar Bharadwaj, director of sales and marketing, added: “That is why we will be fully promoting our meetings and conference facilities.”

“We want more people to be aware that these facilities are available in the Northern Emirates, particularly in Fujairah where conference guests can also get to enjoy the beaches, mountains and other water activities,” he said. – TradeArabia News Service
