Hyatt expects surge in Mideast travel to Tokyo

Dubai, March 18, 2010

Tokyo is set to be among the top holiday destinations for Middle East travellers in 2010 following the launch of non-stop flights from Abu Dhabi and Dubai this month, said a top official of Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.

“With Emirates Airlines and Etihad Airways launching their non-stop flight to Tokyo this month, Hyatt expects to see increased levels of visitors from the Middle East at its award-winning Tokyo properties,” said Thierry Bertin, vice president sales and marketing, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts – South West Asia.

Hyatt has three properties in Tokyo to meet every traveller’s needs, he added.

The 177-room Park Hyatt Tokyo, which occupies the top 14 floors of the 52-story Shinjuku Park Tower, is located in Shinjuku – Tokyo’s premier nightlife and shopping destination.

The hotel offers views of Tokyo’s skyline in its seven restaurants and lounges, as well as iconic New York Bar, one of Tokyo’s leading venues for live music.

The 45 sq m rooms also offer a work area, high-speed Internet, walk-in closet, personal entertainment center, and a deep soaking tub.

The 389-room Grand Hyatt Tokyo features a 54 storey office tower with a world-class museum, the Mori Arts Center, TV Asahi Headquarters, Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills complex, four exclusive residential buildings, and 200 shops and restaurants – a lively international redevelopment known as a stimulating centre for business, culture, fashion and leisure.

The five-star Hyatt Regency Tokyo is located in Shinjuku, a thriving business, shopping and entertainment district and home to the most select Tokyo hotels. The hotel also offers 18 banquet halls and private dining rooms. – TradeArabia News Service
