It is also hoping to offer travel packages to leisure destinations in Southern Spain such as Malaga, Jerez de la Frontera, Ibiza and Mallorca in tandem with travel agents here.

'It's great to be flying from Bahrain,' said Condor international sales manager Florian Paulus.

'We expect our scheduled flights to provide greater choice for those living in Bahrain and the wider Middle East to visit Germany and beyond at extremely competitive prices.'

The first flight will arrive in Bahrain on November 2 and the airline is specifically targeting family and leisure travellers, with economy and premium economy classes and premium meals in economy.

It also offers free transport of baby carriages, cribs and child car seats, as well as golf equipment weighing up to 15kg per person. Discount rates for other sports equipment including diving equipment are also available.

'We want to work closely with Bahrain travel trade partners to introduce new leisure destinations for travellers from this region to such destinations as Cuba and other Caribbean island destinations,' added Aviareps president Glenn Johnston, whose company represents the airline.-TradeArabia News Service
