Marriott plans 15 new hotels

Marriot has planned to open 15 more hotels in countries such as UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, China and India.

The Sandalwood, Beijing - Marriott Executive Apartments opened this week, with 168 one, two and three-bedroom, fully serviced apartments with around-the-clock staff,  located in the capital city’s busy central business district.

This is Marriott International’s fourth extended stay property in China and second in Beijing and is under a management agreement with Beijing Fu Wah Furniture Enterprise Company Limited.

Including this property, Marriott operates 18 Marriott Executive Apartments in 14 countries outside the US.

Located near Beijing International Airport and surrounded by cultural attractions, businesses and one of the largest golf driving ranges in Beijing, the Sandalwood MEA is the ideal setting for business travellers, said a company statement.

The hotel is also within walking distance of the world-famous China Red Sandalwood Museum – the first and largest private museum in China.

Each spacious apartment is stylishly designed with hardwood floors, contemporary furniture and modern technology. Other amenities include internet, walk-in closets, professional workspace, full kitchen, private balconies, 42” inch flat panel satellite television and DVD player.

The hotel also offers An Asian and Western gourmet breakfast, fitness centre, heated indoor infinity pool, steam and sauna facilities, playroom for children,  private meeting rooms, laundry and concierge services.

A fifth MEA property in China is slated to open by 2010 in Guangzhou.-TradeArabia News Service
