IHG launches luxury apartments

Dubai, July 6, 2009

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the largest hotel operator in the Middle East, has opened its latest property featuring luxury apartments at Dubai Festival City.

The introduction of the InterContinental Residence Suites Dubai Festival City is a first for the group in the UAE market and is specially designed to cater to the needs of extended stay guests.

For travellers looking for up-scale, extended residential accommodation, InterContinental Residence Suites Dubai Festival City offers 212 exceptionally stylish apartments encompassing studios as well as one, two and three bedroom suites, and a Royal Suite penthouse with stunning panoramic creek views and its own spa treatment room.

“We have a truly international team with both local and international knowledge giving us a fantastic opportunity to provide a very personalised service to all of our guests,” said Tom Lord, hotel manager.

“Making the property available for bookings from July has re-confirmed the enormous demand for this type of upmarket, extended residential accommodation as the market in Dubai continues to mature and diversify.”

All rooms within InterContinental Residence Suites are kitted out with top-of-the-line facilities such as high-speed broadband Internet, 37-inch plasma screen TVs and a fully-equipped kitchen. All apartments come complete with maid and laundry services and 24-hour in-room dining is also available.

Open to all guests, the food and beverage outlets include ‘MezzaLuna,’ a casual Italian restaurant, a coffee shop offering take-away deli service, and Level 17, a sophisticated lounge boasting a 180-degree view over the creek.

It also features a 24-hour gym equipped with the latest technology, including the ‘Kinesis’ wall, an indoor 25 metre temperature controlled lap pool, a children’s splash pool and a spa pool on the sun deck.

For corporate travellers who regularly require on-site business facilities, InterContinental Residence Suites has a 24-hour business centre, two meeting rooms and two offices, both of which guests can hire to use as their own for the duration of their stay. – TradeArabia News Service
