Mall memory game ‘a DSS hit’

Dubai, June 27, 2009

Oasis Centre, a leading shopping mall in Dubai, has introduced a memory contest which has proved to be an instant hit among the various activities at the ongoing Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS).

DSS 2009, a shopping and family entertainment extravaganza, will run through August 14 across malls in Dubai.

The memory game, called Memory Mania, is open for shoppers to test their memory skills and take home exciting prizes in the process.

Memory Mania is more than just a memory game. Shoppers who spend a minimum of Dh200 ($54.50) at Oasis Centre are entitled to enter a draw from which five lucky coupons or players are chosen. The five contestants compete against each other through a simple game where initially images are shown in the first round.

The winner of the round then goes onto the next round where twenty different items are shown for a few seconds. The contestant has to name whatever he remembers form those twenty seconds. The surprise of the game is that the contestant gets to take home what he names from memory. These include various electronics, gaming gadgets and home appliances.

Several shoppers have won items like Xbox, Play Station, Ipod, MP3s, mobile phones, cameras and microwave ovens through Memory Mania.

The contest runs every weekend three times a day up until the end of DSS 2009. – TradeArabia News Service
