Jazeera flies to Marsa Alam, Mashhad
Kuwait, June 3, 2009
Jazeera Airways has begun the summer season with the launch of three more routes, with the addition of non-stop flights to Egypt’s Red Sea coastal resort of Marsa Alam and Iran’s second largest city Mashhad.
Non-stop flights from Kuwait will be available to Marsa Alam, famous for its pristine beaches and coral reefs, and to Mashhad, beginning from June 20, with fares starting from as little as KD 45 ($157).
Passengers wishing to fly to Mashhad will be able to fly direct from Bahrain starting from June 22 for just BD26 ($69), while flights from Beirut to Mashhad will launch on June 20 from $99.
The launch of the Mashhad destination direct from Bahrain marks the continued growth of Bahrain as a focus city, from which Jazeera currently operates three direct routes: Kuwait, Dubai and Sana’a.
As well as demonstrating the airline’s commitment to giving the region’s travellers even more freedom to fly, the launch of the three new routes marks the start of significant network growth for the airline over the course of the next month; with a further 10 new routes from Kuwait already announcedm, said a top official.
Jazeera Airways’ chief commercial officer, Steven Greenway said the launch of non-stop flights to Marsa Alam was a fantastic development not only for passengers - presenting them with another exciting destination to enjoy travelling to - but also a significant step forward for the airline; bringing the total number of destinations served in Egypt to six.
"We are also highly confident that the convenient launch of the Mashhad routes from Beirut and Bahrain will offer leisure travellers the opportunity, for low fares, to experience the wonders of Mashhad,” he explained.
“Strengthening our Bahrain focus city with this additional direct route and the 10 other new destinations already announced from Kuwait that will be launched in June; demonstrates the significant growth and expansion we are undertaking, which translates into more choice and better service, alongside our existing low fares, for serving passengers across the entire Middle East,” Greenway added.-TradeArabia News Service
