Jazeera flies to Egypt resort town

Kuwait, June 2, 2009

Jazeera Airways has announced the launch of its newest route from Kuwait to the serene Red Sea coastal town and popular summer holiday resort of Hurghada in Egypt with a KD29 ($101) one-way ticket offer.

The airline will fly five times a week from Kuwait except on Tuesdays and Fridays. The flight (516) will take off  from Kuwait airport at 11.30pm and land in Hurghada at 2.10am. On return, flight (517) will leave Hurghada at 02.50am and arrive in Kuwait at 05.20am.

The new route demonstrates the airline’s significant expansion and its commitment to giving the region’s travellers even more freedom to fly, the budget carrier said in a statement.

The coastal resort of Hurghada, set on Egypt’s eastern shores, boasts more than 20 miles of golden beaches, which meet the crystal clear, blue expanse of the Red Sea.

The clean, warm waters of the Red Sea make the coasts rich with life and coral reefs - considered among the best in the world and easily viewed by diving, snorkeling or from a glass bottom boat.

As a blossoming centre of tourism in the country, Hurghada enjoys some of the best hotels and accommodation in Egypt, and fantastic local and international cuisine from the contemporary and historic influences on the town, the statement added.

Jazeera Airways’ chief commercial officer, Steven Greenway said: "Hurghada is a hugely popular destination, visited by tourists from around the globe who are attracted to the town’s stunning natural beauty as well as the famed Egyptian hospitality."

"We are very excited to be launching this destination in time for summer, so passengers can book their perfect getaway to the temperate coast and escape the Gulf’s summer heat."

"By providing excellent flight times, leather seating and of course our low fares, we are expecting Hurghada to be a really popular choice, and as the only low-fare airline in the Middle East offering direct flights to the town, we look forward to welcoming both existing and new passengers aboard Jazeera," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
